A Gweru-based team building digital infrastructure for Zimbabwean SMEs
From our first five-page website to a full-service technology partner — here's the story, the people and the principles behind it.
ProLinkzw Digital started from a simple, repeated observation: capable Zimbabwean businesses were losing customers and contracts not because their product or service was weak, but because they were difficult to find, looked unfinished online, or had no system in place to follow up on interest.
We started as a two-person web design operation working out of a shared office in Gweru, taking on whichever SME would give us a chance. The early projects were humble — a five-page site for a hardware store, a Facebook page clean-up for a salon — but the pattern was consistent: small, focused digital fixes produced outsized results for businesses that had never had proper digital support before.
Five years on, the team has grown to cover web development, branding, digital marketing, career services and the IT infrastructure that holds it all together. What hasn't changed is the underlying approach: understand the business first, recommend only what will actually move it forward, and stay involved after launch instead of disappearing once the invoice is paid.
Our mission
To give Zimbabwean SMEs and professionals the same calibre of digital presence and systems available to much larger organisations — at a price and pace that makes sense for their size.
Our vision
A Zimbabwean SME sector where no capable business is invisible online, and no qualified professional is screened out of an opportunity by a CV that wasn't built to be found.
The principles that shape how we work
Plain-language delivery
We explain what we're building and why in terms a business owner can act on, not jargon that protects the agency.
Built for local reality
Designs and systems account for Zimbabwean connectivity, payment behaviour and customer habits — not generic global assumptions.
Outcomes over output
A delivered website or campaign isn't the finish line. We track whether it actually moved leads, sales or hires.
Honest scoping
If something won't help your business yet, we'll say so — even if it means a smaller invoice today.
The people behind the work
A small, senior team — every project gets direct access to the people actually doing the work, not just account managers relaying messages.
